My little boy started at Mereside when he was one. He didn't settle very well and I was very worried about him. The staff at Mereside took so much time with him to get him use to it. Within a month he had settled in and had a fantastic relationship with the staff. He is now in Tweenies and he loves it. Once a week they have a dance/music class which he adores. The facilities at the nursery are fantastic. The outside area inspires little ones imagination. I would definitely recommend this nursery and the lovely staff

Our boy has been attending Mereside since he was 10 months old and despite all the concern and trepidation one has when choosing and then having them start nursery we have never had a single cause for concern. From the very start the level of attention he received has been wonderful, all the staff so attentive especially those in the baby room in those early days of settling in. This has continued through however and he is now a happy active member of the Tweenies group. I cannot fault the staff, the facilities or the lovely environment - semi rural and away from busy roads is brilliant for both health and safety. The staff all seem prepared to go that step beyond, all made it into work in the recent heavy snow and even helped dig me out of the car park! In short if you live locally why on earth would you send your child anywhere else? Thank you Mereside.

My little girl started attending in October 2017. Staff were amazing helping her to settle and she loves going to `school`. We speak Spanish at home and the ladies at nursery have taken the time to go through the list of words my baby uses and they use them too. We are very happy with the nursery staff and the country setting my girl loves the outdoors and enjoys watching the horses. Thanks for all your hard work x

Our child has been attending Mereside since she was 14 months old and we love this nursery because staff have a secure understanding of how to protect children which is underpinned by their strict policies and procedures. From the very start, the level of attention she has received has been amazing and staff in the baby room have been very helpful and attentive (which especially in the early days of settling in, was very much appreciated). Our child has thrived in this very well-resourced nursery and makes rapid progress in all areas of learning and development due to the well planned activities and enthusiasm provided by all staff. Also we feel that our child has become a very confident communicator as a result of the excellent teaching and support provided by all staff. We particularly like, that the nursery is located at a fairly unique and great location – from the playground the children can see grazing horses and other animals. My son has been attending Mereside for over a year. He started in the baby room and has now moved into Tweenies. I can not recommend Mereside highly enough. He loves his time there and I can go about my day knowing he is being well cared for. As a parent my child`s happiness is paramount when looking for childcare but I`m also a teacher so looking for a setting which provides great learning opportunities was also a big factor when choosing his nursery. Every day he is challenged and an area of his development/learning is enhanced. The staff have even planned activities specifically based on his interests. Every single member of staff is kind, approachable, friendly and good fun. They clearly get to know each child as individuals and this shows in the daily discussions that I have with them. My son often talks about the staff at Mereside on his non-nursery days, always with great affection. The recent building works have further enhanced the setting. My son will be thrilled once the weather improves so he can explore the developed outdoor area. Thank you to everyone at Mereside Farm for nurturing my son and being a part of his learning journey.

My Daughter has been attending Mereside since she was 11 months old and I can honestly say I love the nursery. The staff are extremely friendly and you can tell they share a special bond with the children they look after, every morning she is greeted with a warm cuddle. My daughters social skills have come on leaps and bounds since joining the nursery and her confidence is brilliant. She also gets to experience things at the nursery she wouldn`t always manage to do at home with me, recently they have been playing with shadows and ice painting. The outdoor area is lovely being surrounded by the countryside and horses allowing the children the chance to explore. She has made lots of friends and is always telling me all the fun things she has done at the nursery, she is always excited when she realises its nursery day. I can`t recommended this nursery enough.

Our son has attended Mereside for nearly 2 years now (from Baby to Tweenie) and we are delighted in how he has come on and is developing. His speech and new phrases / words amaze us and have us in stitches, especially the way in which he uses his arms to articulate.
The facilities have always been great but the improvements that have been, and still are being made, are just brilliant and the outdoor space and play areas is imply out of this world (moreso when the horses are playing)
We cannot speak highly enough about the learning and fun they have every day as the biggest problem we have is taking him home at night, and then listen for what seems like hours while he tells us about what he has done at Nursery that day. Lastly, the care shown by the girls, Terri and Ruth is simply second to none and we thank you again.

Both of my sons go to Mereside Farm, my eldest has been going since he was a little over a year and is currently in pre school, my youngest has been going since he was 7 months and is currently in the baby room. They both love it, spending lots of time outside and playing/dancing. I could see the difference in my children socially very early. It’s a wonderful nursery with brilliant staff and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for childcare. My eldest heads to school in September and I know he’ll be very sad to go!

My son has been attending Mereside just over a year now (from the age of 1) and it’s the best thing I ever did for him. Although he doesn’t attend full time, the progress he has made with this nursery has been incredible. His favourite thing at the moment is the dance class he does on a Tuesday and we have to listen to him singing head, shoulders, knees and toes all night long! We moved to a new house a few minutes away from the Nursery and didn’t even realise it was there so thank god we found it. The setting of the nursery is beautiful, and my son loves to see the horses in the fields when I drop him in the morning. They really promote the outdoors and have multiple outdoor areas for the children to play and this is one thing that appealed to me the most. The ladies that have looked after my son have been amazing. He is a difficult child to leave with anyone other than his parents, but he has really bonded with members of staff here. They are all so kind and considerate and always smiling! On Several occasions when he has been upset with me leaving him, they have phoned me not long after to reassure me he is absolutely fine and happily playing! I would 100% recommend this nursery and can’t thank them enough for what they have done for Drew.

I would just like to say how pleased we are to have found and decided to choose Mereside Farm for Lucy. Everyone is so friendly and caring. Lucy settled well, waving me off with a big smile and without tears within 2 weeks - a real testament to the ladies in the babies room helping her feel at home and secure. We have definitely noticed Lucy developing new skills and confidence since starting nursery - she seems to surprise us with something new every day! As a degree student studying Early Years I have worked within many establishments within Birmingham and Solihull. Mereside is by far the best and I am happy I chose this nursery for my daughter. Alan and Ruth are hands on and have such passion, you will always see them mucking in and helping out. Terri the manager has a vast amount of experience and at degree level oversees the nursery with precision. Chris the deputy is welcoming and lovely as are all of the staff. I can not recommend this setting highly enough. Unfortunately we had to leave due to a house move and we have struggled to find anywhere as good. I did travel from worcester for 3 months as I didnt want my daughter to go anywhere else. Thankyou Mereside for being so brill !

I would like to thank Ruth and Alan and all of the Mereside Nursery staff for the excellent job they do in running a happy, friendly, family orientated nursery. We feel that the changes that have been made since taking over the nursery have been excellent and we are particularly impressed with the Parent Portal and thoroughly enjoy seeing what Tamsin has been up to each day. Tamsin`s language and confidence has come on so much since joining Mereside Nursery and she has formed some very strong friendships with the other children. She is clearly very happy there and loves telling us about her day. We would also like to thank the staff in the Tweenies room for their support (and perseverance!) in helping us toilet train Tamsin earlier in the year. It is lovely having so much support from the nursery and I cannot rate the staff highly enough. We are very much looking forward to our son, Dylan, joining you in a few months so he can enjoy the varied experiences that Tamsin has.

Very happy with this nursery. Our daughter has attended since she was 8 months old and has just turned 3. The staff are lovely and helpful and it’s clear they only want the best for the children. My daughter has really thrived and developed during her time at Mereside, and I’m sure she’ll continue to do so during her final year there. It’ll be a sad day when she leaves to go to school!

Our little girl started at Mereside at 9 months and with sadness, due to moving had to leave just after her third birthday. She's a clever, confident, cheeky, and happy little one in no small way due to the setting, staff, and whole nursery experience she has had. The communication was always good and we never had any cause for concern. COVID was handled as well as anywhere could have been done. Highly recommended. I miss taking her there already.
